| The UG is continuously working on improving IT security. One of the concrete measures we have taken in this context is the introduction of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for the entire University. MFA adds an extra layer of security to the login process. After entering your UG account and password, a second authentication step follows via your mobile phone or tablet. In the Google Authenticator app, you will receive a code that is renewed every 30 seconds. Once you enter this code, you will be logged in. This is similar to the procedure for online banking and DigiD.
